Visited Changbai Mountain Heaven Lake on the weekend and stayed at the HaoLike Hotel, located in the Changbai Mountain Huamei Shengdi Resort. We chose a family room with two bedrooms, one living room, and two bathrooms. The layout and appliances are well-equipped, very much in line with the standards of a family home. The room price includes many amusement activities, as well as hot springs and breakfast. This price and content are simply incredible. Just staying at the hotel and bringing kids to play is very worthwhile. The balcony has a great view, overlooking the commercial street and forest. The AQI is 15, so you can breathe in plenty of oxygen. At night, when there is no construction, sleeping is very comfortable, giving a feeling of being close to the forest.

Last weekend, I drove to Changbai Mountain. I stayed at the Haolike Hotel in the Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort. The next morning at nine, I set out for Changbai Mountain Scenic Area, saw Tianchi Lake, and didn't return to the hotel until after 2 PM. The resort has many amusement attractions, very suitable for elementary school students. Before leaving, I checked TeslaMate and found that the data from the past two days hadn't synced successfully. Because the TeslaMate service was deployed locally on my computer, and the computer hadn't been kept on during those two days. That won't do. Then I thought of my Feiniu NAS at home, so I asked Codex to help me install the TeslaMate Docker service on the NAS. During this process, it would operate my browser. I logged into the Feiniu system so it could enter the system and perform the operations for me. To access TeslaMate on the NAS from external networks, I had it configure Tailscale, which had already been installed on the Feiniu system. Combined with the Tailscale Mac local client, the service access was established. Could the data saved from the local service be imported into the TeslaMate database on the NAS? So I continued to let Codex try. First, it found and exported the locally stored data, then created a script. After executing it on the NAS, the data was completely merged. Without Codex, I don't know how long I would have struggled. The token consumption is well worth it compared to the time saved.

On the second day of the Dragon Boat Festival in 2026, Saturday, June 20th, I drove to the Jingpo Lake Scenic Area. The weather was nice, not as scorching as the day before. There were very few cars on the road, and traffic conditions were good. You could drive slowly on some stretches without bothering anyone. Scenic spot recommendation: Diaoshuilou Waterfall, a natural volcanic crater barrier lake waterfall. This single attraction alone is worth the ticket price. Summary of the scenic area: Few crowds, beautiful scenery, bring your own food.

Last weekend, I spent two days driving 2,000 kilometers from Zhengzhou to Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang. Driving a Tesla Model Y 2023 Long Range version on the Jingha Expressway, the biggest takeaway was: after passing Shanhaiguan, the number of charging stations in the Northeast had increased significantly compared to my trip in the summer of 2023, and many service areas had also been renovated. Li Auto and NIO’s charging facilities are the best charging guarantee at service areas, and their numbers have also increased. Our driving rhythm was to recharge and rest after about an hour of driving. The highest unit price for charging was 1.6 yuan per kWh. Each time we drove until about 200 km of range remained, then we charged. At that point, the charging power is higher, saving charging time without causing anxiety from too little remaining range. If one service area was full, we went to the next—no waiting needed, as the remaining range was enough to reach the next service area. Overall, this trip showed that driving a Tesla on Northeast highways in summer is completely worry-free.

I have taken leave in advance for my son. Over the weekend, we drove to Mudanjiang City, to my son's grandmother's home to escape the heat. Reasons for taking leave: First, the weather is too hot, and the classroom air conditioner blows directly at the seats. Second, the textbooks have been finished, and now we do test papers every day. My current strategy is: 1. Read more, travel more. 2. During elementary school, participate in more physical exercise, and ensure physical development and nutrition keep up. 3. For science learning, cultivate the habit of hands-on reasoning and thinking more. It's acceptable to learn a bit slower and lose some points in exams.

Yesterday (Saturday), we visited Zhaixing Tower in Dengfeng and Dashiong Mountain for the first time. The weather was great—comfortable temperatures, lush greenery on the mountain, and a nice, cool breeze. It wasn’t crowded at all, and the environment was really pleasant. It’s perfect for a family outing or just a relaxing hike. It may not be very well-known—kind of a hidden gem—but the scenery is beautiful, with lots of trees and fresh air. I really liked it.
